Department of Labor and Industry - SharePoint Intranet
2024

Build the intranet to be used by all employees of the Department of Labor and Industry using SharePoint. Services included:

• Consulting with department leads and subject matter experts to gather requirements on the needs of each department for their respective portion of the intranet.

• Drafting project plans and documenting all project requirements, deliverables, schedules and milestones for review by leadership.

• Providing quality assurance by developing testing procedures for select end users, developing forms and communications to instruct participants on how to conduct the testing, and gathering feedback on end user experience of the Intranet.

• Consulting with agency leadership on organization needs and how to best operationalize available technology to streamline existing processes.

• Developing documentation and processes for tracking recommended edits to the intranet as well as a directory of all files available on the intranet for documentation and version control purposes, also consulting agency personnel on how to implement and maintain these processes.

• Reviewing policy as needed and consulting on best practices using Word.

• Creating user guides on SharePoint and IT functions as needed.

• Tracking and analyzing data on intranet usage through SharePoint analytics.

• Consulting with graphic design professionals to improve UX and front-end design.

• Troubleshooting occasional issues in SharePoint and providing other duties as assigned.

Virginia State University - ITIM
2023 - 2024

Assisted in bringing the IT Investment Management (ITIM) discipline to Virginia State University (VSU). Services included:

• Creating technical documents to include user guides, process documentation, flowcharts, checklists, and communications.

• Implementing a communications plan to inform staff and constituents of how ITIM would benefit the university and how its implementation would effect them.

• Developing an internal SharePoint web portal to house all documents and forms related to ITIM for the university as well as function as an informational resource for end users on ITIM. Wrote all copy for the web portal, handled design, and managed permissions for different classes of end users.

• Developing and providing trainings to university staff who were selected to be involved in ITIM implementation on their roles in the process.

• Creating and employing quality assurance methods to ensure consistency across documentation using Excel.

• Participating in executive board meetings and capturing minutes.

• Providing research and reviews of internal documentation to consult client on their relevance to current processes.

• Providing proofreading and formatting assistance as needed.

 

Department of Accounts - Cardinal HCM
2021 - 2022
 

Assisted the Department of Accounts' Communications department in delivering Cardinal Human Capital Management (HCM) to 231,000 end users across 233 state agencies and 363 localities. Services included:

• Writing, proofreading, and distributing communications designed to inform end users, liaisons, and stakeholders on various aspects of Cardinal HCM and its implementation.

• Providing web content management of the Cardinal HCM website through Drupal, updating and writing copy for the site as necessary.

• Creating job aids and process documentation for procedures related to updating and maintaining the website.

• Creating and maintaining spreadsheets and documentation that tracked various aspects of the implementation.

• Providing photo and video editing as necessary.
